1st Week of School

Picture

We have had an awesome week this week!! Of course we have spent a lot of time working on procedures and getting to know you activities. They also worked on school expectations as we continue to build our community to be strong and positive.

Today, we did a little of the curriculum in math but we will be full steam ahead next week. On Fridays, your child will bring home a green communication folder. there are 2 sides to it - a keep at home side and a bring back to school side. If it is on the bring back to school side, please send it back with the folder on the following Monday. In their agenda book, you will see RF60M today, which means they just need to read 60 minutes over the weekend. It does not have to be in 1 sitting. They can do 20 a day.

Also, remember snacks and a sweater or light jacket for your child. Sometimes the room can get a little chilly. If you haven't sent a picture of your child in for our bulletin board, please send that as well. It will be returned at the end of the year.

If you have any questions, please do hesitate to reach out to me. Have a wonderful, relaxing weekend!! I'm looking forward to seeing everyone bright-eyed and bushy tailed on Monday.

Reminders:
1)  Please remember to send a snack with your child daily.
2) Send in a light jacket or sweater with your child
3) Check green Parent Communication folders and return on Monday.
4) Please be sure to get your child's 4 composition notebooks over the weekend, if possible. If that is not possible, please send me an email.
5) Please go to my blog address (below) and sign up for automatic updates so you don't miss any news or pictures. This will be where future information about our class will be.
6) I will also be using Class Dojo for behavior. I only want to preferably use this for the 1st quarter, so that we can get back into the school routine. Look for an email from me this weekend in reference to signing up.
