We began our reading level assessment this week and I plan on being finished by Wednesday. I will also meet with students to discuss their MAP scores and strategies they will use to help them reach their goals. Once we conference, their conference sheet and list of resources will be in the yellow section of their binder. I know we have a lot of resources that I have given you as well as the ones in Google Classroom. Remember, these are just extra resources. Please do not try to do something every night in every subject. I will send the notebooks home that we take notes in daily with the students. It can be overwhelming if you're trying to do everything. Most of the resources posted in Google Classroom are things we are doing in class together. This is one of the reasons, it is hard to send work home if a student in out due to to sickness or vacations. We would love to have them work while they are away, but it can become overwhelming. With the exception of math, reviewing or studying notes (you can always refer to Google Classroom if they leave their notebook at school), will be the best remedy for absences. Math is one that I actually have printed sheets and can send home. I post so many resources because a lot of times, the students want to play or view the ones from class again. Since we actually have units in science and social studies, I will post all resources of a particular unit in one post. If not, it becomes hard for them to find. I think that rounds up everything. Have a great weekend and I look forward to another great week at LCEU!
